Prof.Lane tells us that God is giver of moral principles.
God needs to communicate his laws to people. Good chose
the bible as the communication media. .Anybody reading bible can easily conclude that the biblicasl 10 commandments are very poor and incomplete.
Any educated and intelligent person can be easily improved.We would include raping women and abusing children and remove the commandment prohibiting working on sabbath that has nothing to do with morality.
humanity has had n=many philosophers, writers ,thinkers who taugth us about the good and the bad behavior. We have millenia of experince that gives us the basis of objective moral values.Expecting morality of the invisible deity that created hell and did mass killing ( deluge) according to the bible is a total nonsense based on fantasy and ignorance of the bronze age barbarians living three thousand years ago ahead.
