Episode 49: Dr. Kevorkian, the Mormon Bias, Revising the Pledge

Written by in Broadcasts at June 22, 2011

Tom, Robin and Chris discuss the multifaceted aspects of Dr. Jack Kevorkian’s philosophy, whether or not it’s a negative bias to avoid voting for a Mormon president, and the “Under God” phrase in the US Pledge of Allegiance is revisited given the recent troubles reciting it at the US Open golf tournament.

For the record, Dr. Kevorkian NEVER accepted money for his services, not even gas reimbursement. He received a lot of donations but he always mailed them back to whomever sent them.

Also, the slippery slope argument is silly. In the end it has to be the person’s choice and that’s why places like the Netherlands have safeguards in the way euthanasia is practiced to prevent such abuse.
